Presented by Jane Ardern and sponsored by Performance Dog UK
Instead of relying on old-fashioned methods of coercion to train high-drive dogs, Jane has devised an emotionally-centred, choice-based training programme to tackle commonly presented issues in these dogs. Suitable for trainers, behaviourists and owners, this webinar will explore the science behind the dogs typically labelled as ‘high-drive’ and provide practical exercises and to show how we can teach dogs to control their impulses and make ‘good’ choices.
Jane Ardern BSc(Hons), Dip CABT, CAP2, was the KCAI Dog Trainer of the Year 2015 and runs WaggaWuffins Canine College in Bury. She is a members of the APDT – Association of Pet Dog Trainers, The Animal Behaviour and Training Council and an accredited trainer with The Gundog Club. Her book ‘Mission Control: How to train the high drive dog’ was published this year by First Stone Publishing and is available to purchase on the Performance Dog website: https://performancedog.co.uk/shop/books-and-dvds/authors/jane-ardern/mission-control/
